DUBLIN, Ireland: Mini implants and computer-guided surgery (CGS) will be driving the growth of dental implants in the United States, a market analysis released by Research & Markets in Dublin, Ireland, on Wednesday suggests. The report also estimates the overall market volume to exceed US$1,54 billion in 2018.
According to analysts, the current market volume is worth between US$1 - US$1.3 billion. Sales, however, have declined significantly since 2009 owing to the recession that forced many patients to put off high-cost dental procedures.
Worldwide almost every third dental implant is placed in North America.
